Black + White + Plaid All Over

Lately, winter hasn't been very wintery.

Not that I'm complaining at all, especially since it's lead to some outfit combos I've never worn before! For this look I started with one of my favorite dresses I bought last summer from H&M. It's so comfortable and lightweight which makes it a great piece to layer with in winter. The pattern on the dress is either feathers or ferns, I'm not completely sure!

I wanted a pop of color and a touch of 90s grunge so I stole this red plaid flannel from my husband's side of the closet. It was a steal from JCPenny at only $10 and is perfect with the sleeves rolled up.

Another thing I love about wearing button ups is wearing them in different ways even in the same day. I can start the day comfy and cozy with a button-on worn open or and then tie it around my waist later for a more figure-defining look. It's so fun to play with different silhouettes and see how they change an outfit! I also added my go-to black tights from Target and favorite tan ankle boots from Kohl's. These are two of my most-worn items in the fall and spring - I love tights and boots together!

To finish the look, I went with red nails and lips, a bold winged eye, and adorable black heart studs. I wanted to keep the edgy look but still keep things feminine and these accessories did just that!

I hope you all love this look as much as I do! It's been one of my favorite combos and definitely a go-to this season. Do you have any warm-winter combos? What are your go-to outfit pieces in winter?

Also, in honor of International Women's Day, I need to give a huge shout out to all the amazing women who are deeply involved in my life. From my amazing friend and photographer, Tay Daliese, to my mom, sister, grandmother, mother-in-law, sis-in-law, aunts, cousins, and besties. You all are amazing. I'm so thankful to have every single one of you in my life showing me what it means to be a woman who celebrates other women, who holds others up when they're struggling to hold themselves up, who love and support and spread limitless joy to others. You all are amazing and I love you.
